Clearwell Castle Winter Wedding - Jenny & Ross
Hi there and thanks for finding your way to this blog. Today I am posting some images and talking about Jenny & Ross’s winter wedding at Clearwell Castle. I love working at this venue. It is such a beautiful place and this wedding was no different. Jenny & Ross are lovely people and there day was full of joy and laughter. Both Jenny & Ross talked to me before the wedding about how they felt they were not comfortable in front of the camera but they both absolutely smashed it.
As you can see from the images, the wedding took place a week or so before Christmas and the castle looked amazing dressed with Christmas trees and festive decorations. It was amazing to work alongside Ruth Tong & the bloom room who both were incredible. The ceremony was lush, heartfelt and true to the couple. The rest of the day was filled with lots of catching up with family and friends in this beautiful setting. There are so many beautiful grounds here. I think it shows that you can get married in any season and still get amazing photos! Clearwell has a lot of shelter under the tree’s so even in the rain, you are able to get some great shots with the castle in the background. I also hope these photos show that you can feel a little shy in front of a camera and still get some amazing photos and enjoy the process.
Here’s what Jenny & Ross has to say about their photos. ‘We used Joe for our wedding at Clearwell Castle and he was perfect. The photos we received are stunning and we received so many compliments about him from our guests as well.’
I really hope you have enjoyed looking through these images from this winter wedding at Clearwell Castle. If your looking for inspiration or perhaps a photographer for your own wedding, please feel free to send me a message via the contact page or the form below!
St Tewdrics House wedding - Danni & Andy's summer party!

Hello, if you have found your way to this page you may be looking for some St Tewdrics House wedding inspiration. Well, your in the right place as here are some of the highlights from Danni & Andy's wedding at St Tewdrics House. St Tewdrics is located in Chesptow, South Wales and has beautiful views of the South Wales Scenery. The 18th Century building has been restored to an amazing standard and boasts amazing grounds. There is a separate building that much of the wedding takes place in. Danni & Andy are a lovely couple who I'd met a few times prior to their wedding day and I knew it was going to be special. This was a wedding that was rearranged a few times due to the pandemic however it was worth the wait.
St Tewdrics House - Prep & Ceremony
I was lucky to have my friend Nick Murray Photography second shooting for me on this day which was amazing. A morning of laughs and joy throughout, which allowed me to photograph the day as naturally as possible with is what I love - natural wedding photography.
Amazing weather, amazing location!
As you'll be able to see, the weather was amazing which is not something I can always say in Wales. A beautiful location for such a lovely couple. I spent some time photographing the family photos before running around getting lots of candid photos. This is one of my favourite things to do and then get some beautiful photos of the couple themselves. Danni & Andy had spoken to me about feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera. I made sure that the photos looked as candid and natural as possible.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look through this lovely wedding that I photographed. If you are getting married at St Tewdrics and are looking for a wedding photographer, I'd love to chat to you. Please feel free to contact me via contact page.
St Pierre Chepstow Wedding - Kate & Jake
If you are looking for St Pierre Chepstow wedding inspiration then look no further. In this blog post are a selection of images from Kate & Jake's wedding at the beautiful St Pierre in Chepstow. Jake & Kate got married in November so this was very much a winter wedding but with a fair bit of sunshine which is quite unusual for Wales.
The big day
So, I arrived early in the morning to find a beautiful sunrise and the weather forecast looking good! Amazing! Kate & Jake are both lovely people. I met Kate at another wedding I'd photographed during the covid period of time and it was lovely to catch up with her and my previous couple. This was a very relaxed wedding which I think suits my style a lot. It gives me the opportunity to capture as many candid images as possible which I love and am often told are my couples favourite images from their wedding day.
St Pierre Chepstow wedding - first time!
So this was my first time working at St Pierre and I was really impressed with this venue. It is a beautiful building with lots of grounds. I was told the the rooms that the weddings take place in have recently had a refurb. I thought it looked amazing and was a lot of fun to photograph these lovely people in. Usually you can take a golf buggy out on the golf course to have some photos but we decided against this on this day as there are so many lovely area's to use without leaving the wedding and its guests.
I hope you have enjoyed looking through this lovely wedding and hopefully it has given you some inspiration for your own wedding. Ilove chatting to new couples about their wedding plans. If you think I could be the photographer for you, lets talk! Send me a message via the contact page and I would love to chat all things weddings.
